PROJECTS
The FUMH and education
The FUMH is developing Educational Multimedia Projects adressed to the youth population, in order to increase their democratic participaion and their implication in the community.

Network Project (Projecte Xarxa)
This project is addressed to youth from 12 years on who are at risk of marginalization and / or have difficulties in following ordinary school. It is based in the Service Learning Theories, and supported by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, UAB).

Alteris Project  (www.alteris.org)
This project is addressed to youth from 12 years on who are at risk of marginalization and / or have difficulties in following ordinary school. It is based in the Service Learning Theories. The goal of this project is to increase the participation of youth in the community, and spreading democratic citizenship values through case studies and dilemmas that stimulate their reasoning capacity. This project was awarded the Civility Award of the Media in 2004.

Rastres Project (Canovelles, Les Franqueses, Webnom, webrutes)
This project is addressed to children and youth. Its main goals are to help young people develop research strategies, to improve their use of New Technologies, and to increase their knowledge of their City or Town while searching and researching the place names of emblematic places, streets, houses, parks, etc. 

ARIE Project
Addressed to young people from 14 years-of-age. Its objective is to promote basic democratic citizenship principles and to promote the corresponding relevant European Union Legislation, based on case studies and on the knowledge and comentaries of legal sentences. This project is, at the moment, under construction.

Research Programs on Youth in the FUMH
The FUMH has developed research projects to study the particularities of young people in two municipalities, la Llagosta and Canovelles. This study has allowed the City Council to implement new programs and projects aiming to increase social cohesion.

Civic Participation in the FUMH
The FUMH is developing Programs of Citizen Participation that include Coordinating Participation Processes of NGOs, City Councils, etc; and also the Training on Citizenship Participation for politicians, employees and members of associations in the same town, in order to increase the Democratic Education of all Citizens and also to help developing solid participation projects that include all social agents.

The FUMH and Cultural Diversity
The FUMH is also developing programs to answer the questions cultural diversity poses to our society: Training Programs for Schools and Companies, Meeting Points for Newcomers in different City Councils, Research Studies on Migrant Population, etc.

The FUMH and the Media
The FUMH has its own Publication Service, where our specialized staff designs and edits the publications in different supports, including video, websites, CD-Rom, etc. This Service edits and publishes books, leaflets, brochures, posters, as well as documents for the students of the different courses. The FUMH designs and edits a twice-a-year bulletin (Punt per punt).
